The club was formed in 1946 and has operated from a number of sites in the Tauranga region. Unfortunately many of our early records have been lost. (If any of our senior or former members have any recollection of the early days of the club, please contact taurangamodelfly@gmail.com, so that your experience can be documented for our records)

Building TECT Park
TECT Park has been established in a previous forest block. The forest had been cleared but the site was overgrown and a hill had to be removed to create a flat area. Many tree stumps and fallen logs had to be dug out and removed.
